Vectra was founded by Automotive Industry veteran who experienced first hand the frustrations and challenges related to the design and manufacture of tooling and assembly components. Since 2011, Vectra has been developing and refining its software in live Body Assembly Integration (BAI) programs with the goal of fully automating the tedious work of 2D.  Today, Auto2D works as an add-on to NX (from Siemens) and CATIA V5 (from Dassault Systemes). Support for SolidWorks and Inventor is coming soon. Configurations for Powertrain Machining/Assembly Tooling and Aerospace Tooling are available as well.

Vectra's Auto2D platform completely automates the generation of Engineering Drawings for Mechanical Systems and Components. Auto2D is a powerful add-on to leading 3D CAD software platforms that uses scalable cloud-based processing to transform 3D models to 2D Engineering Drawings (or Annotated 3D models) in a matter of hours, not weeks. Auto2D replaces the tedious, time-consuming, error-prone work of manual 2D attributing for a fraction of the cost, eliminating the need for outsourcing and wasteful, redundant QC - and proprietary 3D content never leaves the designer workstation. Auto2D can be configured to any OEM Design Standard for Automotive, Aerospace, Defense, and other Heavy Industry applications for Product and Manufacturing Engineering Design.
